Megan praying
I had tucked Megan into bed after the routine of Dave & I praying with both of them. Dave puts Josiah in bed and goes out. I ask Megan if she wants to pray for anything special and she always has someone she wants to pray for. Then we practice different scripture verses (about 20 ) then we sing 4 songs! Away in a manger, O little town of Bethlehem, Jesus love Megan & Josiah & You are my sunshine! It is quite a routine lol.. but I love it. Well last night after this big routine I walked by her room and she was on her knees praying! I went and grabbed the camera real quick and I caught the last 9 seconds of her prayer.. The last thing she said was Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for us!
I can remember a few other incidents in the last couple weeks that makes me feel so good about how Megan is learning to pray.
Josiah hit his head as he walked by the end table and started crying. Megan walked over and said don't worry buddy, Jesus will heal you and said the sweetest prayer for him.
Megan had a sliver in her finger and it was hurting her so as the Preacher started the invitation she looked at me and said I want the Preacher to pray for me and started to walk away from me up the aisle to ask for prayer! I looked at Dave and said, Well you better go with her! it was so sweet.. then after the Preacher prayed with her she came back to her seat and as everyone one in the church was leaving she asked them to pray for her finger!! some stopped and prayed for her and others looked at her like are you for real?
On wed nights at church we all break up to pray for different requests and a couple weeks ago Megan decided she was going to start praying, so she says I will pray first, then you Mama, then Daddy Lol she looked around the room and started praying for the different families she saw sitting there!!
After church Sunday Megan was in the parking lot playing and scraped her knee. We went into the bathroom and I said when we get home I will put some medicine on it... she looks at me and says.. No band aid Mama, we will just let Jesus heal it!
I am so thankful that Megan at 3 yrs old believes in praying and also knows the importance of praying for other people. I am very proud of my little girl.
so the video is dark and you have to have complete quiet to hear her lol :-)
